How to Renew a Medical Marijuana Registry Card

This article outlines how a patient or caregiver can renew their Medical Marijuana Registry Card.

Expiring MMR Card Notification

Prior to the MMR card's expiration date, you will be notified via e-mail that you MMR card will soon expire. When you login to you MMR account, the site will display a message that reads, "Your registration will expire soon. Contact your physician to renew". This annual renewal date is based on the date that you activated your Medical Marijuana Registry card.

Renew My Medical Marijuana Registry Card

1.  You may renew within 30-days of reg expiration (regardless of recommendation status).
2. If your registration is expired, contact your physician.
3. Once you have verified that your recommendation has been renewed you may see that your card is listed as "Inactive" in the Medical Marijuana Registry. This means that you will need to renew your card by paying the annual card renewal fee.
4. To begin this process ensure that you are logged into https://www.ohiomedicalmarijuanaregistry.com/.

5. Click on "RENEW CARD" within the "Registry Details" section and the "Card" tab.

6. You will be directed to the Legal Statements page.
7. Read the legal statements.
   • If you have any questions regarding the legal statements, please contact your physician.
8. Once you have read the legal statements and you are ready to proceed, click "ACCEPT"
   
9. You will be directed to the Summary page. On this page you will see your profile details.
10. Click "Continue" to complete your renewal.
    
11. After successfully submitting the renewal, you will be returned to your Registry profile. The new active Registry card will be visible on the left side of the page with a new expiration date. You may select the "Download" button to print or save your medical marijuana card.
